IJVD publishes original and review papers, technical reports, case studies, conference reports, vehicle and component manufacturers| information, management reports, book reviews, and notes, commentaries, and news. Contribution may be by submission or invitation, and suggestions for special issues and publications are welcome.

A new data-driven technique for obstacle avoidance in autonomous vehicles is reported in the International Journal of Vehicle Design. The approach might overcome many of the longstanding challenges in the development of self-driving navigation. Obstacle avoidance refers to the ability of a vehicle to detect and manoeuvre around objects in its path.
