Most of the research and experiments in the fields of science, engineering, and social studies have spent significant efforts to find rules from various complicated phenomena by observations, recorded data, logic derivations, and so on. The rules are normally summarised as concise and quantitative expressions or “models". “Identification" provides mechanisms to establish the models and “control" provides mechanisms to improve the system (represented by its model) performance. IJMIC is set up to reflect the relevant generic studies in this area.

 Go Top  Objectives

The intention of IJMIC is to provide an international forum to report latest developments from interdisciplinary theoretical studies, computational algorithm development and applications. It particularly welcomes those emerging methodologies and techniques which bridge theoretical studies and applications in all engineering and science branches. Novel quantitative social, economical/financial studies may be considered as well.

 Go Top  Readership

IJMIC provides a vehicle to help professionals, academics, and researchers working in the field of science, technology and engineering, and possibly quantitative social and economical/financial studies, to disseminate information and to learn from each other's work.

 Go Top  Contents

IJMIC publishes original papers, review papers, technical reports, book reviews, commentaries, and news. Special Issues devoted to important topics in nonlinear dynamic system modelling, identification and control will be occasionally published.

 Go Top  Subject Coverage

Suitable topics for publication in IJMIC include, but are not limited to:

  • Dynamic modelling theories, techniques, computational algorithms and application examples
  • Novel and unconventional linear system modelling techniques
  • System identification, particularly nonlinear system identification
  • Model validation
  • Various control techniques
  • Nonlinear system control
  • Robotics
  • Mechatronic system modelling, identification and control
  • Biological system modelling, identification and control
  • Neural network, fuzzy logic enhanced modelling, identification and control
  • Complementary medical system modelling and identification
  • Wide range representative application examples
  • Quantitative economic/financial and other social system modelling and identification

Go Top  Specific Notes for Authors

Submitted papers should not have been previously published nor be currently under consideration for publication elsewhere. (N.B. Conference papers may only be submitted if the paper was not originally copyrighted and if it has been completely re-written).

All papers are refereed through a double blind process. A guide for authors, sample copies and other relevant information for submitting papers are available on the Submission of Papers web-page.

You may send one copy in the form of an MS Word file attached to an e-mail (details of file formats in Author Guidelines) to Prof. Quan Min Zhu

Please include in your submission the title of the Journal
