more details Selected papers will be published as a special issue of the journal |
IJIOME is a fully refereed journal, covering continuing education and lifetime learning in general, but particularly focusing on improving the quality of education and training of information systems (IS) and operations management (OM) subjects. This particular area has been ignored for innovation in teaching and learning despite the fact that most business schools, engineering schools and companies around the world deal with information and operations management.
Globalisation of markets and operations places a tremendous pressure on productive management of information systems and operations. Developing suitable and training strategies, techniques and tools for effective learning of information systems and operations management is of paramount importance in 21st century organisational competitiveness. Innovation in learning is the key to success in the education for information systems and operations management education.
“Bringing the IJIOME is timely as this journal addresses a growing demand for information and operations management. It is a journal that provides focusing on empirical and theoretical research concerned with all aspects of IS & OM educations, and particularly dedicating to promoting excellence in teaching and research in the fields. It is a good resource base for professors and trainers involved in IS & OM teaching, learning and research". Professor Simpson Poon, Charles Sturt University, Australia.
“It's good to see the creation of a journal dealing with this area; this is a field which has been neglected in the past". Professor Gordon Rugg, Keele University, UK.
“IJIOME is a peer review refereed journal which contributes to the advancement of the theory and practice of information and operations management education. I am very pleased to see a journal for providing the state of the art of research and practice in this area for the IS and OM community". Professor Patrick Chau, The University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong.
“As a forum for scholarly discussion on topics relating to information systems (IS) and operations management (OM) education, IJIOME contains both conceptual and research based manuscripts in the field. I believe it can provide a very valuable resource for academic staff and practicing professionals who need a platform to communicate the best ideas and sharing experiences in teaching and learning of IS and OM". Professor Ada Scupola, Roskilde University, Denmark.
“IJIOME is recommended as an international literature digest of the educational research on information systems (IS) and operations management (OM) and their applications. I am sure this journal will initiate and bring together practitioners and scholars from business and academia all over the world to discuss and share ideas in the learning and teaching of the exciting and rewarding fields: IS and OM". Professor Meiqi Fang, Renmin University, China.
“International Journal of Information and Operations Management Education (IJIOME) answers the need for a journal to provide a high-quality archival forum for rapid publication of research results in improving the quality of education and training of IS and OM subjects. I am confident that IJIOME will promote continuing education and lifelong learning of IS and OM subjects". Professor Jinhwa Kim, Sogang University, Korea.
“IJIOME promotes pedagogical research and acts as a forum for sharing new ideas and experiences on teaching, learning and training in the field of information and operations management". Professor Angappa Gunasekaran, University of Massachusetts–Dartmouth, USA.
