The IJASM proposes and fosters discussion on business agility, responsiveness and competitiveness. The emphasis is on methodology, framework, tools and techniques as well as operational performance, linkage between technology choice and product needs in the marketplace, extended enterprise, new forms of organisations, and contemporary management insights into better coordination of the organisation's internal and external supply chains. IJASM acknowledges the need for better understanding of the content, context and processes of agility and competitiveness as well as the underpinning management theory.
Objectives
The objectives of IJASM are to establish an effective channel of communication between academe, industry and persons concerned with business agility, organisational competitiveness and supply chain responsiveness. It also aims to promote and coordinate knowledge developments in the emerging field of agile organisation research, e-supply chain coordination and performance evaluation, knowledge transfer and the spread of good practice. The international dimension is emphasised in order to appreciate and overcome cultural barriers, and to understand the relevance of national context, meet the needs of increasingly global businesses and management internationalisation.

IJASM provides a vehicle to help practitioners, academics and business leaders working in organisational competitiveness, performance improvement, agility and responsiveness to disseminate and publicise research work, foster debate and facilitate greater learning processes among them.
