The IJEM is a refereed international journal published to address contingencies and emergencies as well as crisis and disaster management. Coverage includes the issues associated with: storms and flooding; nuclear power accidents; ferry, air and rail accidents; computer viruses; earthquakes etc.
Objectives
The purpose of the IJEM is to provide a forum where researchers, planners, managers, response personnel and other interested parties can exchange knowledge and information on the use of innovative methods and technologies to improve the ability to avoid, mitigate, respond to, and recover from natural and technological disasters. IJEM has emerged from The International Emergency Management Society (TIEMS).

Submitted papers should not have been previously published nor be currently
under consideration for publication elsewhere. (N.B. Conference papers may only be submitted if the paper has been completely re-written and the author has cleared any necessary permissions with the copyright owner if it has been previously copyrighted). All authors must declare they have read and agreed to the content of the submitted manuscript. A full statement of our Ethical Guidelines for Authors is available.
All papers are refereed through a double blind process. A guide for authors,
