Formerly the International Journal of Electronic Transport.
IJTTI promotes research and discussion on the development, application and impact of emerging transport technologies and innovative mobility solutions. It focuses on the intersection of engineering, policy, sustainability and digital transformation in transport systems, with attention to how technological advances influence efficiency, safety, accessibility and environmental performance. The journal recognises transport as a complex socio-technical system shaped by innovation, infrastructure and human behaviour across local and global contexts.
Topics covered include
- New energy vehicle powertrain design and architecture
- Vehicle electrification and powertrain systems
- Battery technologies, management and safety
- Fuel cell vehicle technologies
- Energy storage and charging infrastructure
- Intelligent driving and autonomous vehicle control
- Connected vehicle systems and V2X communication

- Lightweight materials and structural optimisation
- Thermal management for new energy vehicles
- Power electronics and electric drive systems
- Smart mobility and transport system integration
- Vehicle testing, simulation and validation methods
- Sustainability, lifecycle assessment and environmental impact
Objectives
The main objective of IJTTI is to provide an effective channel of communication among researchers, engineers and industry practitioners working in transport technology. The journal aims to promote and coordinate technical advances in transport systems, with particular emphasis on new energy intelligent vehicles, including their design, control, energy efficiency, safety, connectivity and intelligent operation. IJTTI's international scope encourages the exchange of ideas that support innovation, technological progress and the transition toward smarter and more sustainable mobility.
Readership
IJTTI provides a forum for researchers, engineers, industry professionals and policy makers working in the fields of transport technology, automotive engineering, energy systems and smart mobility. It enables readers to share advances in vehicle electrification, autonomous driving and transport innovation, and to learn from cross-disciplinary research and practical applications.
Contents
IJTTI publishes original research papers, review articles, technical reports and case studies. Special issues devoted to emerging topics such as new energy vehicles, autonomous driving, intelligent control and sustainable mobility technologies will be published periodically.
