International Journal of Sustainable Materials and Structural Systems (IJSMSS) ISSN (Online): 2043-863X - ISSN (Print): 2043-8621 Published in 4 issues per year (View Subscription Price) IJSMSS promotes and fosters discussion involving sustainable materials, components, structures, and infrastructural systems, with emphasis on technical advances in sustainable materials and structural systems. The journal covers both basic and applied research in physics, engineering and materials science over different time and space scales and also industrial applications.
Objectives
The primary goal of IJSMSS is to provide a permanent record of achievement in the science, technology and engineering application of sustainable materials, structures, and infrastructure systems. Readership
IJSMSS is intended for an audience of researchers, educators, practitioners, infrastructure management stakeholders and policy makers world-wide working in developing sustainable materials, structures and infrastructure systems with a background in material, chemical, civil, environmental, aerospace, mechanical, petrochemical, marine and automotive engineering. Contents
The central aim of the IJSMSS is to publish a broad blend of scientific, technical and practical papers, current literature reviews, technical and interpretive notes, brief communications, and book reviews. Special Issues devoted to important topics in scientific and technological advances, very important case studies and conference reports will occasionally be published. Subject Coverage
Coverage includes methodologies, theories, models, techniques, hardware and software development as well as case studies and practical applications, with emphasis on, but not limited to:
- Development of sustainable materials with high performances, long life cycles, low life cycle costs, high resource productivity, high recyclability, high energy efficiency and multi-functionality such as long life cycle materials, smart materials, environmentally adaptable materials, eco-friendly materials, biodiversity-natural materials, healthy materials, green composites and recyclable materials, etc.
- Molecular, nano-, micro- and macro- structures/processability/characterization and evaluation of sustainable materials for specific applications
- Eco- and life cycle approaches to materials and structural systems design and management including policy, standards and regulations
