The industrial, biomedical, agricultural, environmental, and information technology revolutions resulted in quantum and dramatic changes in the way in which we live throughout the world. In recent years, the frontiers of research in engineering, science and technology have been driven by developments in nanomaterials which encompass a diverse range of disciplines.
The common theme is the ability to exhibit unique new properties arising from quantum effects. The number of research themes involving biological and nanostructured materials is growing rapidly and it is widely anticipated that nanotechnology will produce products, devices, components, and smart multifunctional intelligent systems. Advanced materials inspired by biological systems and processes are likely to influence the development of novel technologies for a wide variety of applications from vaccines to artificial tissues and organs to quantum computers.
IJNBM provides an interdisciplinary vehicle to help academics, researchers, and industrial professionals in the fields of materials science, biomedical engineering, nanomedicine and biology, manufacturing technology, biotechnology, nanotechnology, and nanoelectronics to disseminate information and learn from each others’ work.
Objectives
IJNBM aims at promoting and coordinating developments in the field of nano and biomaterials. The international dimension is emphasised in order to meet the latest needs of accelerating theoretical knowledge and practical verification of new technologies and products. Readership
IJNBM is intended to help professionals, academics, researchers and policy makers, working in the field of materials science and technology and materials testing, physical modeling or simulation of various processes in nano and biomaterials, engineering education, and to disseminate information related to nano and biomaterials. Contents
IJNBM publishes original high quality papers, rapid communications, timely review papers, technical reports, and case studies. Special issues devoted to developments in important topics in biological and nanostructured materials will be published periodically. Subject Coverage
