Editorial News International Journal of Accounting, Auditing and Performance Evaluation: Dr. Prem Lal Joshi recently received from Mr. N. N. Vohra, Governor of Jammu and Kashmir in India, the 6th Sardar Vallabhbahi Patel international award for his excellence in the field of research and education. The award is presented to ten people from various fields for 'displaying benevolent services towards country and countrymen'. Dr. Joshi, a Professor of Accounting at the University of Bahrain, is Editor-in-Chief of IJAAPE. International Journal of Adaptive and Innovative Systems: Prof. Leonard Barolli from the Fukuoka Institute of Technology (FIT) Department of Information and Communication Engineering in Japan has taken over the development of IJAIS with effect from 1 February this year. Prof. Barolli has experience as Associate Editor of the International Journal of Grid and Utility Computing and serves on the Boards of other international journals and on the Programme Committees of international conferences. We welcome his appointment and wish him every success with the continued development of IJAIS. International Journal of Electronic Healthcare: Prof. Kai S. Koong, Chair of the CIS and Quantitative Methods Department at The University of Texas - Pan American, has taken over as Editor-in-Chief of IJEH. Prof. Koong is the recipient of the 2011 Southwest Decision Sciences Institute (SWDSI) Distinguished Service Award. We thank Prof. Chang T. Hsieh for his sterling work in developing the title to successful publication and wish Prof. Koong well in his work in further developing the journal. International Journal of Intercultural Information Management: Prof. Jayanthi Ranjan has been appointed as the new Editor-in-Chief of IJIIM. Professor Ranjan is Chairperson of International Relations at the Institute of Management Technology in India. International Journal of Metaheuristics: Prof. Sergio Nesmachnow has agreed to take over the editorship of IJMHeur from Dr. Christine Mumford. Prof. Nesmachnow is Aggregate Professor in the Numerical Center (CeCal) at the Computer Science Institute of the University of the Republic in Uruguay. Dr. Mumford proposed and developed the journal successfully through to publication of it first volume. We are very grateful for Dr. Mumford's invaluable efforts and are pleased to note that she has agreed to remain on the editorial board. International Journal of Mining and Mineral Engineering: IJMME has appointed Prof. Gang Chen as its new editor. Prof. Chen is from the Department of Mining and Geological Engineering at the University of Alaska Fairbanks in the USA. International Journal of Petroleum Engineering: IJPE has as its new editor Prof. Shirish L. Patil from the Department of Petroleum at the University of Alaska Fairbanks in the USA. International Journal of Services, Economics and Management: Dr. Alain Yee-Loong Chong of the Nottingham University Business School at the University of Nottingham Ningbo Campus in China has been appointed as Editor-in-Chief of IJSEM. International Journal of Strategic Business Alliances: Prof. Refik Culpan has stepped down from the editorship of IJSBA, having overseen the development of the journal to its third volume. We are very grateful to Prof. Culpan for his efforts in successfully establishing the journal. His place is taken by J. Michael Geringer, Professor of Strategy and International Management at the California Polytechnic University Orfalea College of Business. Prof. Geringer is an award-winning researcher, teacher and consultant, with an international reputation for his work in strategic management, international business, joint ventures and alliances, mergers and acquisitions, entrepreneurship, venture capital and the management of technological and human resources. |
