International Journal of Services Technology and Management (IJSTM), Vol. 5, No. 5/6, 2004

Abstract: This article shows the great importance that a frame of close relationship between logistic supplier and client acquires nowadays. Through the case study methodology and with the help of the intellect model, we carry out the study of a continuous relationship that has allowed a remarkable synergic effect between the two companies, Espack (supplier) and Ford Spain (car manufacturing). The change of a punctual relationship of merely transactional character to a cooperative model has resulted in the development of a durable and profitable relational capital and ultimately, in the generation of a competitive advantage.
