IJTDI proposes and fosters discussion on the convergence of emerging technology ecosystems, sector-specific digital transformation and human-centred digital intelligence, examined through a practice-to-policy lens. Rather than focusing on algorithms or computational systems, IJTDI foregrounds the sociotechnical dynamics through which intelligent digital technologies reshape industries, organisations, governance frameworks and human experience. This perspective acknowledges digital intelligence as an interface between technological innovation, organisational practice and societal governance.
Topics covered include
- Digital platform economies, API-driven innovation and data ecosystems
- Sector-specific digital transformation in healthcare, finance, education and manufacturing
- Digital transformation of public administration, logistics and creative industries
- Applied artificial intelligence and generative AI in industry contexts
- Human-AI collaboration, cognitive augmentation and digital literacy
- User experience and behavioural dimensions of intelligent digital systems
- Digital governance, algorithmic accountability and regulatory frameworks
- Data sovereignty, data ethics and cross-border data policy
- Convergence of AI, blockchain, spatial computing and ambient intelligence
- Business models and strategy for intelligent digital services
- Organisational adoption, change management and digital workforce transformation
- Trust, transparency and ethical deployment of digital intelligence
- Smart cities, digital public services and citizen-facing AI
- Technology standards, interoperability and digital infrastructure policy
- Methodologies for studying sociotechnical transformation and digital ecosystems
Objectives
The objective of IJTDI is to establish an effective channel of communication between policymakers, regulators, industry practitioners, academic researchers and design professionals concerned with the transformative role of digital intelligence in industry and society. The journal also aims to promote and coordinate developments in the applied study of digital transformation, technology ecosystems and human-cantered intelligent systems. The international dimension is emphasised to overcome jurisdictional, cultural and sectoral barriers and to meet the needs of accelerating technological convergence and changes in global digital intelligence.
Readership
IJTDI provides a vehicle to help professionals, academics, researchers, policymakers and regulators working in the fields of digital transformation, technology governance, applied digital intelligence and human-centred technology design to disseminate information and to learn from each other's work across industry sectors, public institutions and academic disciplines.
Contents
IJTDI publishes original papers, review papers, technical reports, case studies and policy analyses. Special issues devoted to important topics in digital transformation, applied digital intelligence, technology governance and human-centred digital ecosystems will occasionally be published.
