Objectives

The objectives of IJESII are to establish an effective channel of communication between manufacturers, scientists, academic and research institutions and persons concerned with the complex role of interoperating enterprises or parts of it. It also aims to promote and coordinate developments in the field of networked and synchronous enterprises. The international dimension is emphasised in order to overcome cultural and national barriers and to meet the needs of accelerating technological changes in the global economy.

IJESII aims to spread a common view and feeling on the new and emerging field of enterprise systems interoperability, allowing also recognition of appropriate classes of the knowledge domain and establishing a de-facto standard on interoperability in Europe.

Readership

IJESII provides a vehicle to help professionals, academics, researchers and policy makers working in the fields of technology management, engineering and business education to disseminate scientific knowledge and to learn from each other's work on interoperability. The scientific level is such that only skilled personnel, professionals or managers can afford to contribute. Nevertheless, contents of papers are such that readers can derive useful information for their daily operational practice.

Contents

IJESII publishes innovative and original papers, review papers, technical reports, case studies, conference reports, management reports, book reviews, notes, commentaries and news. Interdisciplinary cultural exchanges are very welcome as well as contributions presenting quantitative or qualitative methods and tools, surveys, reviews or case studies directly related to real applications.
