International Journal of Modelling, Identification and Control
Special Issue on: "Wind Power Generation"
Guest Editor: Dr T C Yang, University of Sussex, UK
Renewable power generation, in particular wind power generation, is to the benefit of society and has attracted a great deal of research interests. Wind power generation (WPG) is a multidisciplinary subject and there are currently a few special issues on WPG in power engineering journals, such as IEEE Transactions on Power Systems (August, 2007). However, there is no such special issue appearing in system/control/signal journals. This special issue of will present contributions on WPG by system/control/signal professionals.
Subject CoverageThe topics will include, but not limited to:
- Modelling and control of wind turbines
- Modelling and control of wind farms
- Wind speed: modelling and prediction
- Power system control with wind power generation
- Energy storage with wind power generation
- Wind power and other renewable power co-generation
- Optimal control and management of wind energy
- Control and noise reduction of wind turbines
- Control and stress-reduction of mechanical part in wind turbine power train
- New and improved control of generators for wind power generation
- New and improved control of power electronics for wind power generation
- Large-scale integration of wind power into power systems
