This special issue aims to report latest advancements in the highly interdisciplinary research and development area of computer vision, with applications in the area of health, biomedical, surveillance, bio-systems, and special environments.

Subject Coverage
Topics of primary interest include, but are not limited to:

• Medical image analysis
• Content-based image and video retrieval
• Action and event recognition
• Security and human activity analysis
• Artificial intelligence for machine vision
• Vision for robotics
• V ision-based navigation and guidance system
• Vision-based 3-D measurement techniques
• Applications on elderly care, smart vehicles, intelligent buildings, and bio-systems

Notes for Prospective Authors

Submitted papers should not have been previously published nor be currently under consideration for publication elsewhere. (N.B. Conference papers may only be submitted if the paper was not originally copyrighted and if it has been completely re-written).
