Title: Enhancing proactivity among hospital employees: a serial mediation model

Abstract: This research article aims to investigate the mechanism by which employees' proactivity can be enhanced in the healthcare context. This study examined the direct impact of empowering leadership on employee proactivity by investigating the sequentially mediating effect through goal orientation, and commitment to managers and company. In serial mediation model, direct and indirect effects were examined through regression analysis, structure equation modelling and PROCESS. To test hypothesis of serial mediation model, data was collected from 252 employees of three National Accreditation Board for Healthcare Service Providers (NABH) accredited hospitals Uttarakhand, India. The results of statistical analysis revealed that empowering leadership has direct positive and significant impact on employee proactivity and indirect significant impact through goal orientation and commitment to managers and company.
