Special Issue on: "The Economics of Tourism; Prospects and Policy Implications"

This issue will explore the consequences for tourism of current world events ranging from the current global financial crises through to ageing and climate change. Our interest is in short, medium and long run analytical solutions to these and other important issues from the economic perspective.

Subject Coverage
The impact on tourism of current world events such as:
  • The global financial crises
  • The ageing population in Europe
  • Sustainability of health care systems
  • Availability and cost of oil
  • Rising public and private debt
  • Environmental and quality issues associated with tourism
  • Sustainability and climate change
  • Other public policy issues

Notes for Prospective Authors

Submitted papers should not have been previously published nor be currently under consideration for publication elsewhere. (N.B. Conference papers may only be submitted if the paper was not originally copyrighted and if it has been completely re-written).
