Sustainable entrepreneurship is a growing and important area of business management that enables firms, individuals and governments to utilise innovative ideas that have an environmental impact. One of the fastest growing areas of both entrepreneurship and innovation is around the area of sustainability and this is embedded in increasing number of research studies about this topic. There is more interest in areas of sustainable entrepreneurship from the circular economy to renewable energy (Ratten and Welpe, 2011). This has driven more government funding and private business interest into sustainable entrepreneurship. Despite the growth of sustainable entrepreneurship as a research field of study there are still gaps in the literature that merit further research interest.

This special issue will focus on subjects that advance our understanding of sustainable entrepreneurship. Papers should provide new insights regarding interdisciplinary perspectives about sustainable entrepreneurship. Research methodologies are inclusive of all types including conceptual papers, qualitative approaches, quantitative studies and mixed-methods.
