Special Issue on: "Advances in Evolutionary Computation, Fuzzy Logic and Swarm Intelligence"

Guest Editors:
Dr. Himansu Sekhar Behera and Dr. M.R. Kabat, Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology, India
Dr. G. Sahoo, Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, India
Dr. Amit Saxena, Central University, India

This special issue is dedicated to reporting research and new developments in the multidisciplinary fields of evolutionary computation, fuzzy logic and swarm intelligence. The issue invites original research articles and some reviews of theoretical, experimental and practical aspects of swarm intelligence and evolutionary computation. It will offer readers reports on advances in the understanding and utilisation of systems that are based on the principles of swarm intelligence and evolutionary computation along with fuzzy logic.

Preference will be given to topics such as the modelling and analysis of collective biological systems; the application of biological swarm intelligence models to real-world problems; and theoretical and empirical research in ant colony optimisation, particle swarm optimisation, swarm robotics, and other swarm intelligence algorithms.

The issue will carry revised and substantially extended versions of selected papers presented at the 1st International Conference on Computational Intelligence in Data Mining (ICCIDM 2014), but we also strongly encourage researchers unable to participate in the conference to submit articles for this call.
