Abstract/Summary: SCM taking into account product life-cycle factors seems to be one of the industrial challenges of the next years. The paper discusses an ontology-based approach supporting semantic interoperability between SCM and PLM that could form different viewpoints on product specifications. Ontology-driven architecture of the approach is presented. Used knowledge representation formalism of object-oriented constraint networks is described. The approach is illustrated via building an application ontology for supply chain management identifying elements related to product lifecycle management.
