The special issue delves into the critical intersection of banking strategies, energy transition, and green economies to propel sustainable development. Contextually, by investigating the roles of financial institutions in supporting renewable energy initiatives, analysing the economic implications of energy transitions, and highlighting successful green economy models, this issue provides valuable insights for researchers, policymakers, and practitioners. Thus, it aims to facilitate a deeper understanding of how innovative banking strategies and concerted efforts toward energy transition and green investment can drive sustainable development agendas worldwide, catering to a diverse readership interested in finance, energy, economics, and environmental studies.
The Guest Editors will be inviting substantially extended versions of selected papers presented at the VI International Congress on Sustainable Development: Banking, Energy Transition, and Green Economies (SD2024), for review and potential publication, but are also inviting other experts to submit articles for this call.
