ICOAE2023: Special Issue on: "Applied Economics and Competition"

Prof. Nicholas Tsounis and Prof. Aspasia Vlachvei, University of Western Macedonia, Greece


The special issue aims to promote the examination of current issues in applied macroeconomics including open-economy macroeconomics, monetary economics, and computational economics with a special interest on policy analyses and applications. Its objective is to stimulate and promote discussions at the econometric research of the above fields. The target group is scholars from the international academic community and research students using econometric and computational methods for analysing issues of macroeconomics and monetary economics.

The Guest Editors will be inviting substantially extended versions of selected papers presented at the International Conference on Applied Economics 2023, ICOAE2023, for review and potential publication, but are also inviting other experts to submit articles for this call.

Suitable topics include, but are not limited, to the following:

  • Applied macroeconomics
  • Open-economy macroeconomics
  • Monetary economics
  • Computational macroeconomics
  • Microeconomics
  • Industrial organisation

Notes for Prospective Authors

Submitted papers should not have been previously published nor be currently under consideration for publication elsewhere. (N.B. Conference papers may only be submitted if the paper has been completely re-written and if appropriate written permissions have been obtained from any copyright holders of the original paper).

All papers are refereed through a peer review process.
