ICO'2020: Special Issue on: "Modern Computational Steering Techniques in Machine Learning and Mechatronics Systems"

This special issue is focused on optimization and machine learning techniques that can be applied in computing and engineering problems, such as mechatronics optimization, electro-mechanical systems, robotics, prediction systems, visual analytics computational modelling, and 5G networks. Modern systems face challenges due to the highly impact on disruptive technologies, thus prediction or decision are essential element for reliability on development of these systems. The massively deployed parallel energy sensors, big data, deep learning is being actively applied to predict generation of optimal solutions on electronic digital systems. The accuracy on forecasting of such computing is also of prime importance for strategic boost in mechatronics markets. Deep learning techniques including recurrent neural networks (RNN), long short-term memory (LSTM), and convolution neural networks (CNN) are expected to improve the prediction accuracy of time series engineering data.

In this Special Issue, new theoretical and/or practical research results using machine learning and optimization techniques with the application of computer and engineering systems are petitioned.

Submitted papers should not have been previously published nor be currently under consideration for publication elsewhere. (N.B. Conference papers may only be submitted if the paper has been completely re-written and if appropriate written permissions have been obtained from any copyright holders of the original paper).

All papers are refereed through a peer review process.
