Special Issue on: "Advances in Manufacturing Systems and Engineering Optimisation"

Guest Editor:
Prof. Mingyan Jiang, Shandong University, China

No one can deny the importance of manufacturing systems and engineering optimisation today. But problems occur in these areas every day, and to analyse new advances will be of great benefit to us in the future.

This special issue provides a forum to explore how to solve the problems and issues in manufacturing systems and engineering optimisation. It brings together interested faculties, professionals, policy makers, information technology students and others.

The issue will carry revised and substantially extended versions of selected papers presented at the 3rd International Conference on Management Science and Artificial Intelligence (MSAI 2012), but we also strongly encourage researchers unable to participate in the conference to submit papers for this call.

Subject Coverage
Suitable topics include but are not limited to:
  • Manufacturing process simulation
  • CAD/CAM/CIM
  • Security issues of information systems
  • Knowledge networks
  • Intelligent agents
  • Hybrid and integrated intelligent systems
  • Web services, semantic web and their related business strategies
  • CIMS and manufacturing systems
  • Signal and image processing
  • Green manufacturing
