Abstract: The response of students to learning is a key element for measuring the extent to which the quality of education is perceived in online learning. Analysing the nature of students' feedback is important in improving student skills and shaping learning behaviour in online learning. Hence, this study aimed to investigate the nature of the feedback itself. We conducted an analysis on students' feedback in web-based learning for two selected courses which were exam based and non-exam based courses. As a result, the feedback received was then categorised using the thematic analysis according to different nature of feedbacks. Next, regression analysis was carried out on the count of discovered nature of feedback to determine its relationship and usefulness as evaluated by the instructor. This study disclosed four disparate natures of feedbacks based on the responses and has significant positive correlation between the use of feedback.
