Abstract: Leagility is the combination of silent features of both lean and agile concept into existing supply chain strategy; their appropriate implementation has become the key success factor for modern business today. The main problem that arises in assessing leagility extent is due to subjectivity of evaluation indices (attributes/criteria). In order to avoid vagueness, incompleteness as well as inconsistency in subjective evaluation information; the leagile supply chain performance attributes have been evaluated in terms of fuzzy terminology. The 'degree of similarity' concept between two interval-valued fuzzy numbers (IVFNs) adapted from fuzzy set theory has been explored here for performance appraisement as well as benchmarking of leagile enterprises (alternatives). A case empirical study has been executed for selection of the best performed leagile organisation by using the proposed degree of similarity approach in conjugation with the concept of 'closeness coefficient' adapted from TOPSIS, a well-known decision-making tool.
