Abstract: An example of train-substructure interaction is presented in this paper, which deals with some experimental tests carried out on the third line of Milan|s subway. This line is mainly equipped with the |Vienna| substructure, which is a double elastic layered one, with good performances in terms of noise and vibration reduction, but sometimes exhibiting problems associated with its high compliance.
