Abstract: A mathematical model of a Hydrodynamic Torque Converter (HTC) applied to the construction of a vehicle hydrodynamic power transmission system including optimisation is described. This model is simple enough for the use of statistical methods with random data for optimisation. In this model, the density of working fluid in the HTC is varying, and the flow through passages between blades contains many flow streams. High accuracy was achieved by the use of the model's parameter estimation. As an example, a modelling of an HTC working in a power transmission system of an industrial loader was considered.
