Abstract: The development from conventional teaching to a pedagogical model of problem-based learning at HAMK UAS Valkeakoski Unit has been systematic in the last few years. In practice, HAMK adds real business cases to the learning processes. The most proficient way to get involved in a PBL model is through authentic business cases. Several of the businesses' development needs are implemented as a part of individual teaching cases and the rest are solved in a separate R&D centre. For a student, this method means going deeper into the learning process.
