Abstract: Today, mainstream schooling faces many challenges. The tasks that schools are expected to perform seem to be caught in numerous contradictions. The most important questions are what could function as a development accelerator and what injects dynamism and triggers a change in the paradigm. The challenges of modern and future societies will also undoubtedly require a new paradigm of management in education and a great involvement of human potential. Even more so, it is quite unclear which steps should be taken to reach our main aims. However, one is obvious. A new paradigm of the leadership and management of education should be required.

Keywords: school crisis; management in education; human potential; school management; leadership.
