Abstract: This paper outlines the development of an optimisation strategy to determine the optimum cutting parameters for CNC multitool drilling system. The developed mathematical model is based on |minimisation of production cost| and incorporates various technological and machine tool constraints. A new approach for the optimal selection is presented using non-traditional techniques such as Genetic Algorithm (GA), Simulated Annealing (SA) and Ants Colony Algorithm.
