Abstract: This paper deals with the advantages of using genomic DNA from developed organs in gene transfer and the production of transgenic organisms. It also discusses the role of introns, the functional genes and how they are integrated into the host genomic. The integrated unfunctional DNA never causes defects or deleterious effects but on the contrary it causes repair and heterosis. The utilisation of vectors especially viruses are completely avoided.
Keywords: genomic DNA; introns; gene transfer; transgenic organisms; no vectors.
