Abstract: Anchoring on the resource-based view (RBV) and digital empowerment theory, this study investigates the direct impact of Logistics 4.0 capabilities on logistics and operational performance, as well as the moderating roles of digital transformation on these connections. Data was collected from logistics or warehouse supervisors, managers, vice directors and directors of Vietnamese logistics firms. Data from 314 respondents was analysed using the quantitative partial least squares structural equation model. The research findings suggest that Logistics 4.0 capabilities positively influence both operational and logistical performance. This study also confirmed that digital transformation plays a moderating role in the relationship between Logistics 4.0 capabilities and logistical performance. The research findings contribute to the field of Logistics 4.0 and performance research, offering a practical perspective that suggests managers should implement digital transformation and leverage Logistics 4.0 capabilities to enhance performance within logistics firms.
