Title: Empowering teacher education students' learning with 360° video cameras in classroom observations

Abstract: Instructors and classroom observers can utilise a 360° video camera to record and assess student responses to lessons, thereby adjusting teaching strategies accordingly. This process has the potential to enhance the teaching efficacy of instructors. This study aimed to investigate the teaching self-efficacy of teacher education students (TESs) and their perceptions regarding the use of 360° video cameras in classroom observations. Twenty-two TESs voluntarily participated in a teacher education program that involved using 360° video cameras for classroom observations. Both quantitative and qualitative data were collected. The study findings revealed that integrating 360° video cameras into classroom observations strengthened the teaching self-efficacy of TESs. Specifically, TESs engaged in discussions about the video recordings with each other, enabling them to gain a clearer understanding of students' learning mistakes. These findings suggest that the cameras assisting teachers in recognising students' learning difficulties can help them effectively navigate the complexities of teaching.
