Abstract: This research critically investigates discrepancies between the spatial planning map and the spatial planning regulation of agricultural land in Kulon Progo Regency, the Special Region of Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Data were analysed using jurimetrics, which were employed to explore the spatial map as a legal document listed in the appendix of regulation through the geographic information system (GIS) analysis. The study offers a critical review of the discrepancy between the spatial planning map and the spatial planning regulation for agricultural land; it demonstrates the consistency and inconsistency between the spatial patterns and the regulatory order of spatial management. Its findings show differences in spatial function in the same coordinates, despite the use of geospatial technology. Based on Loevinger's jurimetrics theory and Kelsen's pure theory of law, it is suggested that policy makers attend to the spatial map appendix and use jurimetrics in the area of law.
