Abstract: This study aimed to investigate whether organisational strategy implementation is effective given the alignment of certain strategic systems. The method used to achieve the proposed objective basically consisted of applying logistic regression to fit a model to the data collected, which allows the values of the dependent variable (effectiveness of strategy implementation) to be estimated from the values of the predictor variables (level of strategic alignment). The originality of this study lies in its systemic approach to the problem of strategy implementation and its final propositions represent a step forward in understanding the key code of strategy, suggesting that the alignment of some strategic systems is more important than other alignments and that, to be effective, firms must align their strategies with the necessary resources and planned initiatives to implement them, with their strategic controls, as well as with the organisational design.
