Abstract: This paper is devoted to the analysis of the multidisciplinary problems of the big data technology in the oil and gas industry. Application capabilities of big data technologies in issues such as reducing the exploitation risks, crude oil price forecasting, optimal management of the oil wells, health and safety ensuring in an organisation, overcoming environmental problems and so on are investigated.
