Abstract: A Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET) is an infrastructureless network that can be established dynamically whenever and wherever required for establishing communication. The MANET is a series of nodes with capabilities in wireless communication and networking. The topology of an ad hoc network is different for node mobility. As ad hoc networks are dynamic in nature, they frequently undergo several attacks, which reduces the data transmission rate. In the proposed work, an efficient blockchain model is used in ad hoc networks for improving the data transmission rate by analysing the cause for packet loss. In the proposed model, a Malicious Task Identification Head Node (MTIHN) is selected from the network that analyses the blocks generated after every transaction for checking the cause of packet drops. The proposed model is compared with the traditional methods and the results show that the proposed model exhibits better performance in improving data transmission rate.
