Applications of fuzzy logic in household appliances

Abstract: This paper presents the state-of-the-art in appliance technology using fuzzy set theory. Twelve consumer appliances currently in the world market will be discussed. Different models/manufacturers of each appliance will be compared and analysed where appropriate. Analysis criterion consists of cost, ease of use, efficiency, and advantages over conventional products. A chart of fuzzy-logic appliances will summarise these developments.
