Some aspects of investigations into the effects of quasi-random simultaneous translatory vibrations on human fatigue from the physiological standpoint

Abstract: Contemporary literature does not deal sufficiently with the problem of simultaneous vibrations on human fatigue. Lacking objective methods for studying this phenomenon, the problem has been observed from the physiological standpoint, adopting first the hypothesis: 'If during the process of normal walking there are no rigid relationships among simultaneous components of the vibrations of the parts of the human body, to which the person is used, then in the investigations of the effects of simultaneous multicomponent vibrations on human fatigue the influence of each individual component must be studied independently'. By investigating three components of translatory acceleration on the waist of 11 subjects during the process of normal walking, and bearing in mind the hypothesis adopted, it was established that in the case of the action of simultaneous quasi-random multicomponent vibrations in humans, the effects of each individual component must be studied separately. It was concluded that their composite effects on human fatigue cannot be assessed on the basis of these investigations.
