SCOR model for measuring performance of halal supply chain

Abstract: Halal food business unit serves to provide products with the best quality for customers. This study aimed to evaluate the supply chain performance of the halal food business unit. The supply chain operation reference (SCOR) approach was adopted to be used in this study. Data collection in this study was carried out in four cities in Indonesia. The results of 28 indicators were found in this study to evaluate the supply chain performance of halal food business units. In addition, there were six categories including integrity, responsiveness, flexibility, quality, reliability, and efficiency found in this study. This study also realised that the upstream sector of the halal food business unit in proposing halal certification still needs further handling. Further study is suggested to conduct good manufacturing practice in the halal business unit to investigate in depth the business process in providing halal products to costumers, especially for the upstream sector.
