Abstract: The phonocardiographic PCG signal presents the acoustic recording of heart sounds; witch may reveal significant information that the human ear cannot. The current study develops methods for classification of signals using wavelet transform PCG; in particular, the discrete wavelet transforms (DWTs). In every case of PCG signal, different degree of noise will be gradually added and ratio signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) is calculated. The intensity of the SNR is the basic parameter used in the classification of signals PCG.
