Special Issue on: "The Internationalization Challenges of Latin American Firms"

This special issue aims to investigate Latin American firms’ internationalization challenges. Studies on export activities, export barriers and export motives of born globals/international new ventures and other types of internationalizers, and also on Latin American firms’ foreign direct investments, international joint ventures, mergers, acquisitions and divestments, are welcome. Articles can be conceptual or based on quantitative, qualitative or mixed methods. Studies based on data from more than one Latin American country are especially welcome.

  • Latin American firms' export performance

  • Mergers and acquisitions in Latin American countries
  • Factors causing Latin American firms' divestment decisions

Submitted papers should not have been previously published nor be currently under consideration for publication elsewhere. (N.B. Conference papers may only be submitted if the paper has been completely re-written and if appropriate written permissions have been obtained from any copyright holders of the original paper).

All papers are refereed through a peer review process.
