Abstract: This paper discusses an exercise that bookends an introductory course in economics for non-majors that draws on their prior learning and attempts to provide them the opportunity for reflection and self-awareness. The course aims to help students enter economic conversations by engaging their capacity for moral imagination and developing their sense of agency.
