Abstract: Based on the planned behaviour theory, the study aims to investigate how personal background, attitude, perceived subjective norm and perceived behavioural control affect adult workers| intention for deeper learning. Data was collected from a Taiwanese high-tech firm (n = 512). The t-test, one-way ANOVA and canonical analysis were utilised. The results show that not only do personal factors impact the transformational process of self-awareness, but there is also significant positive correlation between the independent variables (i.e., adults| attitudes, perceived social pressures, and behavioural controls) and the dependent variables (i.e., the seven deep-learning capacities as described in Senge et al.|s U theory).
