Law and criterion for evaluation of optimum power distribution to vehicle wheels

Abstract: Initial theoretical fundamentals and analytical expressions of law and criterion for evaluation of the optimum power distribution to vehicle wheels are advanced. A qualitative and quantitative assessment of design level of wheeled vehicles may be obtained by using coefficient of perfection of transmission lay-outs as a criterion. Criterion values for hypothetical transmission lay-outs for 4 x 4, 6 x 6, 8 x 8 vehicles are given.
