Special Issue on: “Sport Organisations and Interorganisational Relationships”


Guest Editors: Dr. Geoff Dickson, Auckland University of Technology, New Zealand and Dr. Laura Cousens, Brock University, Canada


This special edition of IJSMM will utilise topics in strategic management using theory and research from organisational sociology. It provides the opportunity for scholars to analyse interorganisational relationships between and amongst organisations in the sports industry.

These theories and concepts can be applied to improving our understanding of the interorganisational relationships between and amongst sponsors, licensees, broadcasters, equipment manufacturers, players associations, clubs and their governing organisations, national governing bodies, regional governing bodies, government, event management organisations, and facilities.
