Abstract: Many applications of Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) require information about the locations of each sensor node. However, the coverage control is a basic problem in WSN applications. In this paper, the deterministic network coverage problem is discussed and an Artificial Bee Colony (ABC) algorithm is used to solve this problem. Firstly, the WSN coverage problem is described and its mathematic model is built. Then, an ABC algorithm is introduced to solve the network coverage problem. Subsequently, a simulation experiment is used to illustrate its efficiency and effectiveness.
