Abstract: This paper studies the effect of slip between vapour and liquid phases on entropy generation owing to irreversible heat transfer between these phases. The paper offers governing equations considering slip between two phases and resolves droplet momentum equation. The governing equations are solved using fourth-order Runge-Kutta scheme. Also, a valid model is used to work out the entropy generation owing to nucleation. Afterwards, slip effect on entropy generation is investigated for variables affecting the entropy generation by comparing slip and no-slip results. Results verify that slip consideration increases the entropy generation and the exergy losses.
