Knowledge and skills of professors at the campus of Social Sciences of the Autonomous University of Yucatan through distance education

Abstract: Open learning and distance learning clearly result from social and economic development and have become an indispensable part of the educational process. It is gaining acceptance inside the traditional educational systems in both the developed and the developing countries. This work was created as a response to the absence of information about the current state of education over a distance in the Autonomous University of Yucatan and it is considered as an important element of the Educational and Academic Model of the Institution. This paper discusses some implications of results under the umbrella of Mexico's Programme for higher education 2007-2012.
