Abstract: To meet the demand for the surface finishing of large discal parts, a new vibratory-rotary barrel finishing technique is developed and presented. Based on the explanation of machining mechanism, its complex condition of relative motion is analysed by making a mathematical model. Using MATLAB, the effect of the main factors on the finishing process is discussed, which forms the theoretical basis for its experimental research and industrial applications.
